Community benefit-sharing program

We believe in sharing the benefits of renewable energies with the communities we operate in.

The scheme will provide meaningful benefits to communities surrounding the Navarre Green Power Hub.

We wouldn’t necessarily be able to pursue all of these projects, so we’re interested to see which ideas are the most popular. Please provide your feedback so we can decide which to pursue.

COMMUNITY BENEFIT FUND

We allocate funds to local community projects such as sports, clubs, tourism and heritage via a yearly grants process.

DISCOUNTED ELECTRICITY BILLS

In partnership with an energy retailer, we would offer residents the opportunity for a discount on their energy bill every year for the life of the project.

POSSIBILITY TO INVEST IN THE PROJECT

Community co-investment in renewables is common overseas and we’re excited to see it start in Australia.

SUBSIDIES FOR SOLAR & STORAGE

We could provide grants via approved installers to make rooftop solar and home battery storage more affordable.

ECONOMIC BENEFITS

Neoen focuses first on hiring local people for our projects. Locals know the land and have the skills and enthusiasm to support us during construction.

Our core team become regulars at local cafes and pubs, and we love to work with local suppliers who provide their products and services to help us over the life of the project.

Hiring would begin before construction, which we hope to start in 2025.
