Project update November 2024
Project Update:
In May 2024 the Planning Minister made a decision that meant that Navarre Green Power Hub’s development process can get underway. We are currently finalising a proposed program of surveys and studies to assist the Victorian Government in preparing a ‘Scoping Requirements’ document. This document will outline key issues to be addressed in our Environment Effects Statement (EES), enabling the Government to evaluate the project. Once this document is finalised and submitted, it will be available for public exhibition, allowing community members to review and provide feedback. All feedback received will be carefully considered as we continue refining our project designs.
Access to the proposed windfarm area
We want to ensure that everyone in the community is kept well informed regarding site access – we will notify landowners at least two weeks in advance if any studies or assessments are scheduled to take place on or near their property.
Please note that any of Neoen’s representatives and consultants will have official identification, including ID cards with contact information, which they will present upon arrival. Our representatives will also clearly explain the purpose of their visit and provide details about the work they will conduct.
If you encounter anyone on your property claiming to be associated with Neoen or our project but without proper identification or advance notice, please feel free to contact us to verify. Your safety and property security are high priorities for us.
Community Drop-in Session:
Join us for our upcoming Drop-In Session on Friday, 15 November, from 11am to 2pm at the Navarre Football and Netball Club. It is a good opportunity to learn more about the proposed project, ask questions, and let our team know what you think. We’re committed to ensuring open and transparent communication as our project progresses, and we value the feedback and insights of our community members.
Sponsorship Announcement:
We are thrilled to announce that Navarre Green Power Hub is now a sponsor of the Navarre Football and Netball Club. This sponsorship will support the club’s activities and community engagement. We are excited about this partnership and look forward to making a positive impact in the local community.
